A Different Way to Receive Gifts
There are moments in life when your space begins to take on new meaning. It could be a new home, a marriage, a move, or simply a shift in how you want to live. At that point, what you bring into your space starts to matter more, not just in how it looks, but in how it will be used and lived with over time.
And yet, gifting rarely follows that same level of consideration. Most gifts are chosen quickly, given generously, but without much alignment to what someone is actually building. The result is familiar: a collection of things that are appreciated, but not always needed, and often not what the space truly calls for.
At Totem, we wanted to create a way of gifting that feels more intentional and more aligned with how people actually build their homes.
A Totem Gift Registry allows you to select from our various collections and invite others to contribute toward those pieces over a defined period. It is rooted in intentionality, creating a more considered process around what comes into your home.
In practical terms, the process is simple. You choose the piece(s) you would like to include, we set up a private registry for you, and you share it with the people you would like to involve. Contributions are made toward those pieces, and once they are complete, we arrange delivery. If a piece is not fully contributed toward, you have the option to complete it yourself or redirect the value toward another item.
